is there 737 training in Arizona? Someone told me it was starting soon. This is the first I’ve heard of it. If so is it CQ, Initial??? Would an ATL pilot end up out there or just West coast? Thanks

Last time I had training in MIA they said they were looking at sims in PHX, but not sure when that was slated to start. I believe they only send CQ to the remote sims as a last resort and prefer to send IQ since you will generally be there for at least a week plus. If you are ATL based and doing IQ then they will definitely send you out to Arizona whenever that is up and running, it is supposed to replace the MIA sims.

Started this month. CQ is possible depending on cycle--there are no door trainers.

I don't think we are doing CQ yet, but info seems to flow not so fast,.and change frequently.

The stated intent of SLC sim is west coast based crews for CQ. Will the same logic apply to CQ in PHX?

There is training in MIA for the 737, 320, 7ER, 350 and 330. PHX opens this month with one 737 sim and is supposed to grow to 3 sims (on the old America West training campus). Last 2 years no training was done on Christmas day and on Christmas Eve ended early.

I think they want to utilize PHX that was but doors training may be a weak spot. SLC is supposed to have 4 bays expandable to 10 and will be co-located with the FA and tech ops training so doors should be there as well.

ugh… I spent 2 weeks out there for Indoc when I got hired by American. I wonder if the coyotes still hang out along the fence by the “roach coach” (food truck) that comes by everyday. There is no cafeteria of any kind 🤨

If you’re on the 73 check Aerodocs. Lots of PHX sim info dropped.
