At least you’re deadheading in economy comfort now.

I noticed this in a few categories. I don’t get it. Both why they are posting vacancies and not filling them.

As someone who just blocked 6:25 in seat 26E I call total BS.

Edit: Has anyone else had issues with DH reservations not staying with the flight? Had 2 occasions where I was in steerage while my FO was in comfort on a deadhead that was part of the bid package. Maybe because it’s a broken trip with a different pairing number?

The DH reservation must be made at the time of rotation creation. So unless it’s an “added” front/back end DH to get you into position as part of a broken rotation, it should have been made NLT the 4th of the month prior.

Thats what I thought. This last one was a pre built rotation with both seats DH’ing. Captain calls out, and trip gets broken up on the A side. FO has had an aisle in comfort for weeks, I get a middle seat in steerage. I’m sure the original captain had a nice seat but it sure as heck didn’t carry over.

I would submit an FCR if you haven’t already. That should not have happened, and they need the data to find the glitch (I know, I know…).

Also had a DH that wouldn't let me list. Went to the gate after I landed and the agent couldn't list me either. Pilot assist fixed it somehow. Thankfully it was a fairly empty plane or I'd have had zero chance for a decent seat. System works great...

Agreed it’s the terrible RES rules that is the root cause and UAL Mgmt could fix it…just stating that their TA included a mechanism to drop Capt spots to noobs.

From my reading, they will require 350hrs in the right seat of UAL and then they go to IQ. Their IOE will also be 100hrs.

Right? I would love to see an explanation after each AE telling us how/why they didn’t fill openings. It would be kinda interesting I’d think
