What kind of qualifiers you got? As a 2014 hire I'm well into lineholder territory on everything Narrowbody A in ATL. Even the 7ER I think(too lazy to look right now). And I think you're senior to me.

Here’s a question. The August AE had 9 ATL330B openings. The final award shows there were 6 who left and 6 awarded (only backfills). That means that they awarded 0 new openings. Why would the company post 9 openings and end up awarding 0?

They do this sometimes..not sure why. It kind of blows my mind that they can post positions and just decide not to fill them. They should have to fill posted positions if they have bidders in my opinion. What's to stop them from just posting 50 vacancies in every seat and just filling/not filling what they want when the bid closes?

Im curious too. A 2007/08 hire would be 30-38% ATL717A and 52-57% ATL73NA

Good, I’m sincerely happy for you about that. You’ve determined your priorities and set your path. Please stop acting like it’s the worst thing ever you “can’t” upgrade because you make that choice.

Honestly I think the only thing stopping them from posting an AE like that is all the angry emails/VMs they'd get and complaints to the CPO. I don't know of anything in the PWA that requires them to fill positions they post. I agree, the flexibility they have in filling/not filling positions is unbelievable.

If the company was mandated to fill all published vacancies, where would NH positions come from? Or, am I missing something?

Secondary vacancies. Say they only post 100 A positions on an AE. Eventually as they process the award there will be 100 B’s that leave various positions that are not backfilled by other B’s. Those spots would then go to new hires.

I was under the impression NH positions had to be offered and unbid to seniority list pilots. Not "hidden" secondaries. Did that change, or am I just wrong?

I too thought this was the case. I don’t think secondaries matter for NH bids. They have to be posted. But not being awarded and not being bid for are two different things.
