I’d shoot from the hip and say NYC sees growth next year as the D1 equipped 321s get delivered. That will drive a large increase in 320 departures from Kennedy.

Vacancy is not defined in section 2 or the front of section 22, but it does not say “contingent vacancies” may go to NH’s. My understanding is that only posted vacancies can go to a NH?

22.E.10 says, “If no pilot bids on a First Officer category vacancy, the Company may assign an entry level pilot to fill the vacancy.”

Secondary vacancies are how the first new hires got DTW 350 a year or two ago. An AE had 0 DTW 350B positions, but due to secondaries there were 10-15 DTW 350B spots available that no one bid for (or no one with a bid in was eligible due to seat locks or bid qualifiers). Then everyone was shocked when new hires got DTW 350B with no positions posted on the previous AE. But that is how the process correctly plays out. Hence why if you really want a particular positions, make sure you bid it even if the AE has 0 postings in that position because there are almost always secondary positions in nearly every category each AE.

The second bold is often repeated, yet so many people fail to realize it. ALWAYS BWYWWWYB.

Heck I’m think 12XXX this time around and it’s December training. I got a lot of confidence this time around. The last AE had 11X hit DTW330 and there weren’t any openings so this time with 9… I’m thinking it’ll be a celebration for us junior folks! I’ll include all of you in my acceptance speech. Thanks for the love and support for Flexy! I know it’s silly but for someone who has been dreaming of flying over the North Atlantic their whole life, it’s pretty exciting
