Prepare yourselves… 2023 AEs
#4481
Probably around September 8th. Seems like we are seeing a memo every 4 weeks roughly! Training will occur primary in December. I bet it’ll be smaller, mostly back fills. I know training is rather slow in December before the heavy January-April months kick in. Should be interesting with the 330s coming next year. I expect to see NYC/DTW330B hit 12XXX over the next several AEs.
Anyone know where we are going to put the new 339s next year? Also, from what I’m reading it sounds like a 2024 recession will be pretty mild and should not affect the airlines too much. With 400-500 retirements we should still have a lot of movement regardless. Good times will continue in my opinion!

It’s a performance issue because it doesn’t operate well out of SLC. They are looking at the 350 as more come online for some of those flights. Unless there are some recent changes they also don’t have 3 to 4 flights a day in the winter.

BTW - I didn’t see any fuel stops this summer. Did we have any? I non-revved on one last year with a pit stop in DTW enroute to Paris (AMS got MSP stop) due to that bleed issue. It was really ****ty for our paxs. Almost 3 hours late to CDG with a customs line about 2 hours due to being so late. Not fun.

You know the company on numerous occasions has come out and said they are still undetermined on the 330 because of performance issues in SLC, right?? Numerous times they’ve even openly mentioned the 350. Not that I think that will happen, but to say “it’s not a performance issue” is comical. There is probably truth to your statement about a new category as well, but both can be true. Also, when/if it ever opens it will be very small initially to avoid the training dominoes from falling since anyone can bid it. Then it will grow from there. Another thing openly stated multiple times by the company.

I agree there IS performance issues with the -200/300. That’s also why you have only seen -900s there since April.
I’ll say it agin, if the 330 had such big performance issues out of SLC there would’ve been a different airframe there.
