But every trip in open time is gobbled up without hesitation. The company doesn’t GAS about goodwill. They care when planes stop moving.

When I was an FO on the 737 I flew with captains from all over and actually never had a bad experience with any ATL guys (although a couple were quirky but totally fine to fly with and you have your fair share of those out west too). The one thing I noticed base to base was in most the west coast bases and NYC the captains would do walk arounds on the FOs leg 100% of the time. The midwest bases and ATL it wasn't as common..maybe it is now though.

summer you should hold a lot of the international destinations. Winter accra and Dakar. Swap board you can probably get a lot more. But yes I tell the FOs I fly with that as company plug they are literally in the best seat flying wise in the entire system. I have zero idea why anyone would bid the 320/73/220 out of NYC over the ER.

Flying 7-8 hour turns during bankers hours is a completely different life than someone who does 5-day trips.

Yes, but in NYC 320/220/737, it doesn't really take that long for an FO to get into the top 10%. Sure, a couple years depending on who's ahead of them, but that's nothing in the grand scheme of things, if someone really lives within daytrip distance of those airports.
