Would you mind doing an after action on Thanksgiving on your view of how it went down? My thoughts are .... since Thanksgiving is a nebulous date(roving to find 4th Thursday of November) and kids/govt and others get a 4 day weekend, folks will pick up flying on Thanksgiving for approx $1500+ more and just celebrate it on FRI/Sat or Sunday.
Prolly also matters(direct correlation) if GS are flowing in the category or not as to how enticed peeps are to fly on a holiday.

You'd think that, but when I was a 330B, I remember not being able to get a Christmas GS (family did our Christmas on the 21st), because all the standard, super senior bidders took them all lol. I also had my first OE trip with the company over Christmas because some super senior LCA bid for a Christmas trip.
I used to always argue to the WB senior guys, who'd be on a GS while I was on assigned flying, but couldn't get their spouse with them because they found out too late, "wouldn't you rather have a small holiday bonus and know 3weeks out that you had a holiday trip and plan to bring your spouse? This way breeds way more stability and planning than the old way, and I'm actually at the point where I can hold holidays off and bid for the GS's if it came to that.

This has always been my observation, many times the most senior (kids out of the house, family spread all out) are the most willing to work the holidays, they were just unlikely to bid it because they'd hold out for the GS.

You ever heard the joke about the old bull and the young bull standing in a hill overlooking the herd of cows? The new contact hobbled the old bulls. Working 'smarter' not'harder' became much more difficult on WB airplanes under this contract. (And as we all know, it isn't all implemented yet management still has two silver bullets to use).
While NB GSs might still be in the party mode, you still have to fly them to get them. And it has yet to be seen how SSs and airport standby will affect them.
