Aw. How cute. You think flying is entitled to a specific base. Even when it’s not even in New York. Well, unfortunately you work for Delta. And I have some bad news about how this will go down over your future…

btw: you did add a slew of Hawaii this summer and you had a few Tahiti’s last year. But hey doesn’t help the context of someone stealing “your” flying.

Pretty sure that was tongue in cheek and a ref to council 16 arguing about how the pacific flying is “theirs”

while simultaneously complaining LA was not getting “their share” of the east coast Atlantic flying

Ahhh good point. There is a lot of growth planned with new international routes so this makes a lot of sense. Do you think the 339 is a different market than the 767?

339 is a decently bigger airplane than the 767. A 338 would be more or less the same. But also you have to factor in where delta puts those brand new 339’s since they are some of our nicest products. I don’t see it being a Swift replacement of Atlantic leisure routes, at least not yet. I bet more will be used in the pacific recovery network first before you start seeing significant losses over the ER Atlantic.

I have seen some route changes off the ER, but also some additions. Like I said nothing massively worth noting. this was our last international cirium update.

council 16 didn’t say that, there was an email from C16 RCC upset that out of base Europe flying was only being given to ATL/NYC with double deadheads while the west coast saw none of it. Which is literally the RCC’s job in your council. For some reason that set off NYC guys about how Boston, RDU, and CVG is all theirs. Nevertheless that email was blown so far out of proportion.

And then in return they gave LAX a month of going to Africa. Which I actually enjoyed. And this summer, LAX didn’t overtake any significant amount of Europe since the Atlantic saw growth. And in return had a massive amount of HNL flying given to NYC. Felt like a win-win for everyone involved. But for some reason there’s always people who create a council war.

Hard to know where that comment lies because there are people who are out there fighting for “their” flying. Especially ATL bros, some of which aren’t even on the ER who got involved in all of this for god knows what reason

As long as it's not those jerks that come and steal my GS with their OOBWS. :D

I’m on a trip and someone in the crew van yesterday said the AE would be out this week. This morning, a different pilot told me they were going to skip the August AE and have a larger one in September. Take this for what you will but its like CNN vs FOX. One extreme to the other

Mods are tired of the thread deflections about age 67 :D
