Need slots available. I’d be 75% on the 350B in ATL vs 22% now on the 320B side. Hate to give up seniority “horsepower” in bidding, but it seems the same rotations exist with only seniority dictating days to operate them. 350 is a full course, but it seems that the high credit breeds flexibility. Something different as an end result. Try it, love it, maybe hate it, upgrade from it in ATL (320A). 330B seems great, but the seniority needed is ridiculous. Whatever. Layered bid will hit, likely on ATL 350B before anything else.

Good stuff. I had a jumpseater last week tell me the 350’s training has gotten much better and it sounds like the iPad may “hook up” to the current OIS and somehow connect to that instead of the current Microsoft based system. With 7 more coming next year I’m sure you’ll get it sooner than later! ATL has some great trips on it too. A lot more europe as of late
ipad doesn’t connect to the jet … you can leave it in your hotel room for all of training.

ESV on day one is open book, so bring it then. You are welcome to carry it to the sim, but you will not take it out of your bag in the sim. The A350 sim is an iPad free zone. Your OE may also be an iPad free cockpit depending on your LCA.

last I heard even using a pen and paper is a “no-no” on the 350.

Pens (and pocket protectors) are for the Dilbert engineers who design planes. Same for short sleeves and ties, but I digress. Dignified A350 pilots wouldn't dream of being seen with a pen. The closest you will find is an Apple pencil, post OE.

what a glorious future! on the 717, we are required to carry chisels and extra stone tablets. some lca’s are advocating papyrus but that seems to be frowned upon by the powers that be.
