I don’t understand why everyone loves to give BS a pass.

PWA violations and contract mess? Blame JL no problem.

Optimizer beats everyone death? Of course it’s Gumm!

Crew Resources can’t look past a spreadsheet to see the big picture? Blame Network, or JL, or Gumm or Ed, not the guy who’s the effing Director of Crew Resources!

It’s because BS is an American treasure. He seems genuine and honest. Before the daily ops take was a thing, he was out there trying to update us via videos and memos as best he could. Most of us get the opinion he cares about us, even though he is usually wrong.

I’m pretty sure he’s trying his best, but he’s not the guy in charge. He also has to do what he’s told.

I know some really nice, caring folks who aren’t all that great at their job. Just sayin’ it’s possible.

I like him as well. He seems genuine and actively answers questions as they come up. But, my god has he perfected the art of over promise and under deliver when it comes to AE timing and results.

They are almost always posted around two business days after close. For UNA, they got it turned around the day it closed.

I think Bob is one of the few up there who actually cares and tries to please, but flight ops, marketing, finance, and training cut him off at the knees and micromanage his every move. Which is why this thing isn't out yet.
