What you do is take a screen shot of the new category you want via the iCrew “count senior pilots” option and then after the mock award take a look at that same thing and see how many more/less there are. May give a good idea as to whether or not you could hold something compared to the mock bid. If this makes any sense at all haha. Don’t know how else to word it
Also, I love some of your comments, but dude. You're way to neurotic about the AEs. You're like the prospective pilot that checks his inbox 10x a day hoping for the interview invite. |

I've found that page to be worthless because it doesn't count conditional and % bids.

right I agree but if you screen shot it before the mock, then the take a look at the mock, then a couple days later look at the iCrew page again and see what those numbers suggest after the mock compared to the numbers before the mock. It should be very similar but if you see a couple more pilots than you originally saw then I would bet money you can knock yourself down a couple numbers and get a good idea for the final award. This is for those who are extremely bored and have a lot of time to kill like me!
Like I said, you're way too worried about the AEs lol. Get some air, man. |

I think mock bids encourage sport bidding. People throw something they don't really want in just to see if it goes through. Then pull it before the finals. That skews the mock/prelim and makes it useless when enough people start doing that. It also turns the final few days into an auction when some people see what they could have held and go for it, as Flex said above.

The argument is senior folks seeing someone junior to them get an award and having FOMO so they bid it and knock them out. I don’t see it being a big problem but maybe one or two pilots may get screwed every award from each category.
I'm where I am going to be for the next decade or so. But I just don't see the downside to posting a mock bid. |

That's really too much work, and I really don't care that much. I guess my attitude is I bid what I want and get what I get.

You’re getting a lot of flak in here and I’m not sure why. I like your posts, seem like a nice guy just engaging in the conversation. Cheers |

I’m with ya man and the overall benefit to the group vs people who don’t want it makes it worth it. Not everyone going to be happy, but I think the majority will be happy with it.
