FWIW, BS says in the AE memo that the next AE after this one will be August, and that there will be another in September, which would make 4 months straight, at least. And that those wishing to avoid holiday disruption should bid accordingly.

However, with 65 posted WB A positions, this AE will generate some decent movement. It's a little larger than the last one (599 posted positions, 66 displacements for a net of 533 positions).

Looking at the NB B openings, I would expect the majority of unfilled positions to be on the NYC220 and DTW 717, with smattering of 73 & 320 mostly in NYC.

BS has said a lot of things... FWIW, I dont ever believe that it's his fault, that what he says doesn't come to fruition. I mean, I'm hopeful, I'll just believe it when it happens...and continues.

I agree. He also said they expect to backfill which should help some WBB movement

I hear you, and completely understand the skepticism. This time does feel different, with every single Flt Ops SVP/VP openly stating much the same thing. Maybe BS finally won the argument. But I’m with you.

I’m not so sure. The only postings are 10 SEA 330B, which will mostly, if not entirely, be soaked up by the 33 7ER displacements. The very few other backfills will go relatively senior. But as always, have a bid in if you are willing to do it.

New strategy to keep NBA’s in place—don’t post WBB positions.

Why would I bid from NBA to WBB? Less pay and I'd be more junior, no thanks!

Everyone on this forum assumes if you’re a NBA that you are going to bid WBB

You suggest something that did not play out in reality for me. It took going from WB/B to E/RA bettered my W2. I went from 50% in category to 85% to do so. But small NB/A is a struggle to equal WB/B because WB/B is more $ per day any way you slice it. Everything is 6+ ADC, often much more. I make more currently as a senior 320A, but it's not a slam-dunk by any means. I work harder than I'm used to from the WB world, and plenty of pilots have fled my position with their tail between their legs back to the WB seat from which they came. Having choices is great, but make sure you are plugging the correct info into your decision making calculator.

Huh? I don't think that's true at all. It happens, but the numbers who back-bid are pretty low.

Yeah, I’ve pointed that out. I don’t think you do. But almost every week it gets brought up despite not really happening worth mentioning. I think guys complain on the line and say they will and then most don’t.
