No not all. It’s category dependent, for example LAX ER crews have to get theirs now that SEA ER is toast because the heavy MX is in China and that was a Seattle trip.

For August the visa requirements for the 350 were every base and for the 330 was SEA, MSP, and DTW. It’s listed in the bid packs for the specific fleet type. It may change each month but I’m not sure!

I think they could just safely assume that around 50% of U.S. airline pilots are military and nail it with a reasonable amount of certainty lol. Umm, here are my 14 DD-214s, which one would you like lol.

They've done two, I'll celebrate when we've gone a more than 10-12 months with monthly AE's.

The June 1st MEC News email said:

“Numerous military pilots have inquired about the depth of questioning in the Chinese visa application. We know there are concerns about answering questions regarding one’s military service or that of a family member. There is an open resolution on this matter, and the Government Affairs committees at both ALPA and Delta are working to address the issue. There are no clear contractual provisions or USERRA protections to directly address the issue, but ALPA is fighting to avoid our pilots having to answer these questions. Expect further updates in the coming weeks.“

That's why I asked in the AE thread. The process sounded like an SF86, which has me thinking about AE options.

I've only flown to China a couple times. The Captain brought a food service pack of tin foil and we all made hats on the way over. Housekeeping pulled a strand of hair from the sink and now I have a free Ancestry.cn account.

There is a feeling of constant surveillance. It's a good excuse to unplug and drop off the grid during the layover.
