Prepare yourselves… 2023 AEs

I think if an FO is enjoying the QOL as an FO, I'm sure they'll enjoy their relative seniority just as much with an 18%-22% raise...

Not only that but I’m still waiting for the details on how this TA is going to address the horrible pairings we get each month. Alaska got full control of their pairing construction. The AIP has some very very vague language on improved rotation construction. Literally, poor rotations polled the number one priority for domestic pilots and none of the yes voters have addressed this. They just want their retro chump change because they are afraid of having to wait two more months because the company might retract their subpar offer. They don’t care that ALPA barely met a single one of their contract 2019 goals. Pathetic.

Widebody is going to go crazy senior. With pay banding a huge chuck of the widebody fleet to the highest pay rate, in addition to the oversized impact raises will have on the top pay rates, international is getting a massive pay increase. The senior narrowbody holdouts can no longer justify staying put. A $95/hous difference between 737 A and Widebody A by 2026.

Funny enough the LAX Update was a Con paper, but actually left me feeling better about what is to come. In summary, their biggest gripe was the abandonment of Minimum Balances in the Retirement pillar. MB polled poorly, and was abandoned for good reason.

Exactly. As a WB FO my pay will be damn near current Capt rates if this passes. This will just push out my upgrade even longer. Unless we see some significant change to trip construction.

This is what I thought most would think too. I was debating bidding off captain to WB FO knowing I’ll be making more than I am now (717 captain currently).

75 hours as a 737 A will equal about 88 hours as a WB B.

I wonder if this will create a lot of backward movement from nb A to wb B. Although a lot of of those junior captains won’t even be able to hold wb B and a lot of them are seat locked
