It’s gotta be, right? I just have a hard time believing we’ll only see 6 330B openings again. That’s crazy talk, especially with how many we have coming over the next year!

Oh, and the 350s we have coming too! These planes will be on property next summer and I hope we are staffed and ready.

That memo also mentions the -1000 is very much in the picture still. Boston not so much. SLC is getting some love and it’s between the 330 or 350.

Florida base sounds like a bust (we new that wasn’t a real thing anyone).

200 new hires a month for the foreseeable future still. All good stuff! It sounds like Summer 2024 will be even busier than this summer.

Great now that they are evaluating 350SLC in public we will not get a conclusion on SLC widebody for another 3+ years. Buckle up.

LAX330 here we go!

I've wondered about that one for a while. LAX has LHR, HND and CDG on the 330. The extra lift would be useful for HNL when we start parking 763s. I think it's only a matter of time before the 330 is LAX based.

According to networking those 3 are all going to the 350 in due time when we have more on property. It was a metal issue of not having them and Bob kinda shut down LAX330 saying they haven’t even discussed or evaluated it because they don’t want it. That was before we heard SLC350 though. another consideration I wonder if they care is should we open another LAX WB base since the base is heavily turning more commuter and junior. One thing they talked about Boston base was how many commuters are going to go there. I don’t know how much this all weighs in, but I wouldn’t rule LAX330 out just because it seems like everything they say ends up being less than 50% true and we are more blindsided by this stuff than we want to admit. Prepare for anything …

My guess, long term, is 330 east coast and 350 west coast. ATL/DTW/MSP/SLC are the awkward ones. I think with NYC being so heavily 330 it’ll be SLC350 and LAX350. MSP will stay 330 only. DTW will always have both and ATL will too. I don’t see the 330 going to LAX and probably not SLC either. NYC will need every 330 they can get once the ER phases out. NYC330B will need 800 pilots soon IMO!

By Delta logic, I’d bet a small wager Florida is a thing in under 5 years. See airplane interior retrofit and SLC220 for evidence.
