Prepare yourselves… 2023 AEs

Really would like the "In Command" class. Loved hearing the tidbits as an FO from Captains who would share after they went for the 2-day event and had the meet and greet with the company legal reps and the CEO.
"Do this, and we'll back you to the ends of the earth. Do that, and you're on your own."
You don't know what you don't know. "Don't F it up" isn't all that helpful after a few rounds of stupid day-to-day stuff that is only one step removed from the current red headed stepchild of airline daily drama [Starts with "S", ends with "pirit"] of the industry and isn't in the FOM.
I've seen some things, man, and some stuff. I wouldn't recommend it. (But you can't avoid it)

(I have a Fido. But jeebus. What is it with people and their "fur babies"?)

CRM was the Magna Carta that thwarted the captains monarchic authority in the flight deck. I don't know how one would go about "restoring" captains authority without undermining other crew members and other parts of the operation.
As a pilot you can't complain about single points of failure undermining the operation in other areas while simultaneously wanting to become one. Plus, not to mention increased responsibility also means increased liability.

It’ll be 79 and 11 months one day! Why have a an age at all? For some it’ll never be good enough. These spoiled ***holes have had an extra 7 years for retirement (once 67 passes). It’s clear that they have zero life outside of flying. It’s disgusting and incredibly sad and I feel so sorry for their families because they know that their dad/mom doesn’t give a crap about them and flying a tube around the sky is more important than them.
I for one would never ever treat my wife and kids like that. I will be retried by 62, end of story. I don’t care if I have to live in a box. These greedy SOBs can fly until they die for all I care. I can’t wait to spend every second with my wife, kids, and grandkids when I retire! I love my job but family comes first. It’s sad that these “67ers” think about money over family but to each their own!

Sorry above my rant above. I have been gone a lot lately because of a busy work schedule and it’s hard to think about doing this past 65 years old! I didn’t mean to upset anyone, I just can’t image it in this stage of my life.
In other news, where are these AE results?? It’s been closed for 4 hours now I mean come on!

Thanks for taking it easy on me! When I posted this I was thinking “crap, that JamesBond is gonna rip me apart.” I know you are a big advocate for raising the age and I do respect your opinion because everyone is different. Sorry for being harsh in my post. I probably went too far

The good news is that by the time you think you'll "retire" your schedule will likely look nothing like it does now.
