Seriously why are we trying to tear ourselves apart while no one has seen the language??

Wind the clock, take a breath, and wait for the language. If you have a concern, email your reps, or call them.

And that’s not directed explicitly at you. It’s all of us.

Well I would think the negotiators have a pretty good handle on how it works, and my reps are feckless weasels that would vote yes to anything put on the table.

Of course, it will depend on the language, but it remains to be seen how this would effect things over the long term. The same is true for the in-month designation of 200% premium trips, which will come via a newly-established "premium slip". It will likely only be offered at times when they know or see a huge surge in uncovered trips. The company apparently has another 5 reroutes for every reroute which they want to avoid (we do too). With the change in covering trips 2 days prior, they seem to want to avoid all the last minute scramble, and in the process lessen then amount of GS/premium/rerouted rotations. I think just as many opportunities are going to be there for premium, it will just come in some different flavors. I think...
This is a pretty significant change that is IMO a win/win for both sides. Seems like this arrangement will bring an end to alot(but not all) unstacking and provide more balanced open-time on weekends and major holidays. On the pilot side, the ability to pick up premium time well in advance, and the ability to avoid getting unstacked or avoid working a Holiday are significant QOL boosts.

Yeah…but… you’re taking money away from a senior pilot who has no retirement
