That's actually a bit of a security risk because if you lose the sleeve whoever finds it knows exactly what room the key will go to. Granted, I think most hotels can give you a new key that when scanned at the door will invalidate but that only works if you beat them back to the hotel. And of course that is still an extremely rare event. But still, I just text myself the room number and leave the sleeve in the room.
