Seems very comical to assume GS come to a halt when this airlines entire network structure is built around maximizing the pilots and redlining the operation. Suddenly now everyone is going to WS with this new rule for 50% less pay and the airline is going to scale back its operation ? Lol
after how many GS we have done this year idk how anyone could be worried

GH went on record on a townhall 3-ish months ago (the one where he hinted at a still-unannounced A350-1000 order 'pending board approval'). He stated we would be an "all Airbus wide body airline" min the next 10 years (or so). The 767-400's (765 category = long story) are much newer than the 767-300's.

I may be filling in blanks which I shouldn't, but I got the impression the -400 wouldn't be around all that much longer past the ER fleet's ever-pending retirement. Given the company has ONE 767-400 sim, and relies on the classic 757/767 sims for about 85% of the initial qual, I could see the business case to divest the -400 soon after the ER a strong one. Especially with the 330neo deliveries ongoing. But if demand is strong for international travel at that time, it could stay on as an orphaned fleet.

To amplify/add some color to this. After talking with a C44 rep ini the lounge, I think the expectation is that the 150% PBS premium will be offered at times when CS otherwise expects a lot of unstacking - i.e. holidays and such. Of course, it will depend on the language, but it remains to be seen how this would effect things over the long term. The same is true for the in-month designation of 200% premium trips, which will come via a newly-established "premium slip". It will likely only be offered at times when they know or see a huge surge in uncovered trips. The company apparently has another 5 reroutes for every reroute which they want to avoid (we do too). With the change in covering trips 2 days prior, they seem to want to avoid all the last minute scramble, and in the process lessen then amount of GS/premium/rerouted rotations. I think just as many opportunities are going to be there for premium, it will just come in some different flavors. I think...

Very clever. I’m guessing that they GS quite a bit and are concerned the new rules will affect that. How dumb of them to be concerned I know.

Oh, and GSs are not going to be as plentiful if I understand the AIP correctly.
The 400 is/was popular as the senior-junior trip were virtually the same, 3 or 6 day Europe trips and they seem to vary the destinations over the course of the year/season so it really was a great gig to see most of Europe and the 4 Deep South America destinations from ATL at least. Lastly, it hasn't done Africa for years from ATL so there wasn't that threat at least. Lastly, since there is no domestic, the min trip was 3/4 days so if you had reserve on 4 day blocks and weren't used day 1 or 2, you were virtually guaranteed to be unused that reserve period. Such a small fleet, many less opportunities for a surprise utilization if you bid reserve. Lastly, the 10:30 flight range seemed about right time in tube before being sick of it, allowed for a nice nap, and reasonable seat time.

I never said there was no cause for concern, as we have not seen the language. But the amount of angst and consternation on here saying WHY WOULD THE COMPANY WANT THIS, IT IS GOING TO SCREW US yelling at the clouds when it is something the pilot group has been asking for is disingenuous. And completely a crap argument. Stop the CAP.

And the GS/WS/PBD/whatever warriors are still going to put PWA 95% of the people on here, they will just have to adjust tactics. Maybe. Again, no one has soon the language.
