true…that would totally be something we would do! Kind of like running a esrly out AFTER you do a massive displacement!

More things may/should be possible when the new sim center gets spooled up in SLC.

Sim certification is a tricky business. Could be quick, could take months, or years. Still have to build the building first.

Nothing really showing 76’s are at near term risks
This pretty much seals the deal. Delta has a long history of doing entire cabin retrofits then immediately retiring a fleet.

Wonder if a few smaller AEs will get folks to jump for NB A now they “appear” more scarce.

Inconceivable*. No airline in the history of anything has ever done that.

* Yes. I know what that word means.

Good points. Yeah I'm throughly confused with the 767 plan now. All we need is a large WB order at the Paris Airshow to add to the confusion

“We plan to schedule training for current Delta pilots who receive awards through this bid in September. A small portion of pilots could start earlier, and a few pilots may train later, potentially in the first half of October.“

This stuck out to me…basically a full admission that this AE is strictly to create new hire positions and that manning is so tight this summer that they can’t afford to lose bodies. I think this lines up with them claiming this small AE is due to pilot feedback, but really because they’re running at red line.

“If you are currently on property and receive an award on this AE, don’t expect any movement until September.”
