This was my analysis as well. Back to the traditional new hire drop of “pick your air plane, every one will be based in NYC”. Though there may be some small left overs in LAX/ATL on a few fleets.

Well, maybe I should have read the details:

Based on feedback, many pilots have indicated a desire for more frequent, and smaller AEs. In response, we are posting a smaller June AE to evaluate our ability to manage and successfully execute a monthly AE process. We will communicate the results, and any strategy adjustments moving forward.”
To be fair I think less than 20% of the e people probably read it and just go to the numbers and make conclusions about our financial future, the economy, how much lunch will cost at the JFK terminal, and how we are about to get screwed again …

Same impression I received. 7ER fleet ie 757 continues into the next decade but looks like the majority of if not all 767s will be retired

this smaller AE business will be nice long term. Also should solve the junior captain and widebody b “problem.”

I don’t think that’s still anytime soon. We aren’t sending them to China for new cabin mods just to park them in the near term future. We need more 330’s on property and I’m guessing if we keep running AE’s like this we will just continue to see more and more growth with the 330. But we need more 330 orders too. Nothing really showing 76’s are at near term risks

Something tells me we aren’t going to smaller more frequent AE’s because of pilot feedback. Just a nice coincidence that the company needs match up with ours. For now.

I tend to lean towards this line of thinking. I’m definitely skeptical as to the motives for them to all of sudden do something we’ve been clamoring for for nearly a decade. Why now?

Also, it wasn’t mentioned until the day of AE release. So interesting.

Probably getting MD’d (again) this bid and have a significant event coming up which Murphy’s Law says is a perfect time to go to Atlanta. While it’s just one factor out of many, any training peeps have any insights into which jet might train sooner the 220 or the 320? I’m deciding between the two and if one is really backed up it might help me decide.

Also training days off isn’t a thing yet correct?
