Wow!

SELL YOUR HOMES!
I think you missed my tone (or I didn’t convey it well) . It was not negative, just factual. Either they plan on another AE in the next month or two (more likely) or they plan to slow hiring (less likely but definitely possible with RG at the helm)

My point was not a “ OMG furloughs are coming” but more “I guess they are planning on another AE in July or august”

im bummed about the BOS and WB news (339 deliveries now replacing 7ERs) but I’m actually optimistic about them trying the smaller/more frequent AE thing.

Most training will happen in September. A small portion could train earlier and a few may train in early October.

This is exactly what we have been asking for. Small frequent AEs with a narrow conversation window.

I don’t read any negative news on ERs because it was always going to be replaced with 330’s. We knew that. The ER still stated it would be part of the fleet plans into next decade. So it’s not like there’s anything really to worry about right now. I assume that’s more a forward looking comment that 330’s will grow and retire ERs.

and as an ER guy, 330s replacing the ERs is a good thing for the pilot group.

Seems like they explained it well enough in the comments. Another AE is shortly down the line. This is weird to us because we’ve never seen it be so long for it to be so small (Michael Scott enter).

it can be a bummer it won’t have much movement but also good for us if we get away from those big bids

as an er guy I agree. Er still going to be a huge staple for next several years. 330 deliveries can’t even keep up right now to change that. We just need to announce an order. So it removes the thought that our WB’s are going on a net decline

It is if they actually do it this time, that remains to be seen. I'll be pleasantly surprised if it happens but I'll believe it when I see it. Not a big deal to me, I'm where I want to be for a long time, I've just seen then song and dance before.

If Flight Ops is moving to monthly AEs as suggested by the Memo this is a good sized AE and there should be another on in July. The pilot group has been calling for smaller, more frequent AEs so monthly AEs would be quite impressive. The 150 day conversion window per the PWA doing nice work already.

The big question is are they really planning for smaller AEs or just buying time for age 67 ruling?
