also, where is this news of the AE being delayed??
GeneralLee heard something about it being delayed a week or two however, someone just told me that they saw on Facebook it will be Friday 100% and BS said today that Friday is the day for the next AE so that’s what I’m going off of now. Although I get where G-Lee is coming from with pushing back the conversions/training until after summer which does make sense.

Well another curveball. I talked with BS again today and it appears to be back on for Friday. Delaying the bid would enable more folks coming off seat locks evidently and weighed against other options it is set to stick to the 16th.

I think seeing the angst it caused over the last day or so I'll refrain in the future from providing the play by play details of upcoming AEs etc. Sometimes maybe its better not to know how the sausage is made.

Hey, it’s all good! We are all just pilots trying to help each other out. Thanks for posting an update! I appreciate ya and I know many others do too. Friday is the day. Can’t wait!

GL, your posts are always highly appreciated, you’ve got an excellent strike rate so I only pay attention to rumors when they’re from you. Don’t let grumbly folks shut you down, plenty of silent ones appreciate it.

If it does come out this week, how the heck would we know? Do they send out an email or is it on us to check the AE page under Crew Resources. Asking for a friend of course
You sure you’ve been here 5 years? It hasn’t been that long since the last AE. BS usually sends an email out the day prior to the actual posting. It’ll be in whatever email you receive company info. This place will light up too.

Yea the last AE didn’t mean anything for me cause I got into a seat lock so I didn’t even check it really lol. I honestly don’t really know how it all works

Apathy is the glove into which evil slips its hand.

I know you are trying to learn but 5 years man? Check out the PWA and read literally any AE update. Your iPad even has guides that tell you how to bid and tricks for the DOS program. APC is great but maybe dig deeper.

Wtf?? Have you never bid on an AE in 5 years? You got your initial base and equipment in indoc and kept it? Don't remember the MOAD during covid or the subsequent reinstatement bid post VEOP? What about when you came off of UNA?

True statement. Pilots tend to get a little emotional about AEs. It's better not to see all of the variants during the planning process. It's better to just relax, wind the clock and bid when it gets posted. Knowing every thought, input or variation that enters BS inbox doesn't change the vacancies, close date or posted results. Better to deal with facts than conjecture. LAX A220 comes to mind...

I appreciate your input and the remarkable level of accuracy though.
