No “all captains are belong to us” command.
Pro tip: overwrite the first letter in a bid preference with an “i” to insert a bid. Eg “ATL” becomes “iTL” and hit submit and that line then turns empty.

This reminds me of a guy I flew with when I was a new hire 727 FE in Miami. Everyone called him “Captain Anywhere”.
Back then we didn’t have iCrew or even crew computers in the lounges, all scheduling was done by hand, with pencils and paper by crew schedulers in every base. If you wanted something you had to fill out a piece of paper, which is why they are still called White slips, Yellow slips and Green slips, that was the color of the paper you put your request on.
Every time an AE was posted (on paper on the bulletin boards in the crew lounges) this 20yr 727 FO would put in his request as, “Captain, Anywhere”. He finally got a 727Capt bid when they opened CVG.

This is the kind of stuff I come here for. Finally I know why they are called that

In our respective mainline fleets, per Wikipedia, we have 949 aircraft, while AA has 943 aircraft. Therefore, we have slightly more aircraft than AA and I believe we are going to continue to grow mainline at a pace faster than they will. AA still has a love affair with their regional operation.

it also lists American with 916 aircraft flying of the 943. The rest are parked.

There used to be a place on DL Net Flt Ops page that listed numbers of aircraft by fleet, both in service and on order, is that no longer there?

Late rumblings that the rollout of the AE could be delayed until the end of month now.

They do not consider percentages, seat locks, or bypass requests.
The first time I was awarded captain, icrew showed about 100 people senior to me bidding it. I ended up being the most senior of the 11 people who were awarded that seat.
I think it’s pretty much worthless other than to maybe look for trends.
