The length of an AE is in 22.D.4 (150 days), with longer bids allowed in 22.D.11. Neither is in the deferred implementation schedule, so those parts were effective immediately. 365's are a thing of the past.

Now, I keep hearing people say a 335 requires displacements. I don't think that's true. The requirement for displacements is nested under 22.D.11(a), which is the 270 day allowance, whereas the 335 allowance is nested under (b) which simply limits the company to using a 335 bid once per calendar year. 22.I (selecting which half of a 210 bid/which third of a 335 bid you train in) has delayed implementation until Mar 2025. So in theory, the company has three shots at doing a long bid, without displacements, with their choice of when to convert pilots. Those will be the risky bids for pilots.

Oh I see. Thanks! So if rumors are true and they are displacing SEA7ER pilots in a couple weeks, that would really get interesting for the pilots right?

A 335 does require displacements. It’s a 210 which requires 10% to be awarded (not just posted). That may be where confusion lies. NN 23-10 spells it out well.

As you of said, the new default (without any displacements) is 150 days.

So, closing the SEA 7ER base would give them access to the 335, but probably not a 210 unless the rest of the bid was small to achieve the 10% awards level. That doesn’t seem to track with what CR has been saying at base visits.

Is that the one that wants all the info from your TS clearance?

On topic, I'd assume any SEA7ER displacements would be countered with WB spots on the west coast.

Have they already grown SEA320 to desired capacity? I was under the impression they'd just backfill ER displacements with 320 slots.

SEA pilots were required to get China Visas and all trips to swap aircraft out of CAN were built out of SEA. With SEA closing they'll presumably need someone qualified to do the MX ferry flights.

...Also LAX-PEK on the ER. They're reinstalling pilot rest pods.

Right that’s where I was going with that rumor. Nice part of not having the Chinese visa is you get to stay in ICN while the other 2 guys take it down to CAN. Scored a 70 hour layover that way and SEA FO took it down to CAN.

haven’t heard about the pilot rest pods

It’s all good. That’s what this place is for, discussion and getting the most accurate info from the hive mind.
