Yep! Which is why April 19th was a big-ish deal. That’s when the last mega AE results were posted, starting the seat lock. Even though most trained a few months later, the seat lock started April 19th 2021 and ended April 19th 2023 for every pilot who was awarded on that specific AE.

If the June 16 timeframe happens and this AE is a 365, does this mean the company can delay your conversion to a different base (not even new equipment) for another year? Hoping it happens sooner rather than later. A year is a huge window to say “Hey, you’re moving bases from NYC to LAX sometime in the next year. Make sure you’re ready!”
disclaimer: Bases for example only, not trying to say moves from different bases would be easier/harder

the previous contract didn’t even require displacements. It required that they posted displacements. I believe this loophole was closed and now it requires actual displacements. Either way, bidding a base swap on a year bid. BID WITH CAUTION!

yes! And it’s like you are basically telling the company what you’d like to fly now haha. Crazy times! We are all Tom Bradys. If the company doesn’t give us the plane we want we know the next one (United / American) will. A few years ago we were all walk-on free agents just trying to make the cut
