Not a chance we park 757s. Airbus and Boeing late to deliver new jets. We need all the capacity… and then some more.

Last few base meetings Bob said around June 16 timeframe. I mean it’s going to happen soon, has to anyways. We would run out of hiring positions

I read something today about China having “record COVID spikes.” After reading the January AE memo it sounded like the new 350 positions were based on Chine returning. With this new news, I wonder if they have over staffed the 350? My gut tells me retirements will always keep that fleet flowing with new openings but it’s interesting to think about the affect with China and how that may impact our 350 recovery! Maybe more Europe with that bird?

Anyone here on the 350 in ATL? I'm thinking about switching and would be about 80% in the right seat. I have no idea how reserve life is on the big bird. I hold a decent line on the 765 in NYC but hate the commute.

Well they will be out of LAX getting more Europe. Not sure about China, it will only matter about Covid cases depending on what they do. And from what I read they won’t do lockdowns again. So they probably will… lol

Plus fleet is growing so there will be openings reflecting that.

Its good. DTW may get you better seniority. LAX is a little better for reserve, but way more senior. It comes down to your commute. Playing the reserve GS for banked PB game is above your seniority. If GS is your goal the best you can do is maybe an early month GS while the senior pilots are on reserve. The back half GS go to the area code FOs fishing for PB after their last RES day.

It's been a couple years, but 90% guys had no Problem holding a line on ATL 350 because senior guys were bidding reserve to play the PB day game.

I noticed this may be the last AE before the change multiple AE award on 22.E.17 in the Deferred Implementation MOU. I just wanna make sure I understand it.

Scenario: Assuming we have a June and October AE. I get my second choice of ATL350A on the June AE. October rolls around, I haven't converted yet, and I get ATL330A. Is that how it's gonna work? Does your seat lock reset to the new AE award date or does it stack?

Just curious how you could be awarded ATL350A on the June AE and then ATL330A on the October AE. Seems like the June AE award would start a category freeze and thus make you ineligible for an October AE award to a different Captain position (other than a base change to DTW or LAX).

I think 22.E.17 is going to come into play if you had a June award to ATL350B, hadn't trained/converted, and then were awarded ATL320A in October as a first-time Captain award (or, more likely, BOS320A because we all know the BOS 320 category is opening in October). 😁

I wouldn't be surprised if, in the first scenario (ATL350B award to first-time Captain ATL320A), CR says your category freeze is cumulative while the second scenario (ATL350B to BOS320A) would not be because BOS would be a new category and your 350B category freeze would be eliminated and re-start with the new category award (BOS320A).
