The 75s will fly as long as there is demand. Capacity is still down compared to 2019. People still buying tickets? ER keeps flying. People don’t? Maybe they start looking to park them sooner rather than later.

I’ll take that wager. 757s aren’t going anywhere in the near future.

Trimming or full closure of the SEA ER base. How long they want the conversions to be and training capacity will be the deciding factor. Also mentioned opening SLC330 (despite the hot new SLC350 rumor told to me by a 330 LCA) to absorb SEA330 spots so they have room for some of the displacements.
Not a rumor anymore, they literally said SLC350 was being discussed at the SLC base meeting last week. No decisions have been made… according to them they want to see this summer and talk with networking about 350’s in Europe if the market makes sense in SLC.

LAX-Europe flights on 330 they said at LAX base meeting will all be flown by 350’s 2024+. Just need the metal, 330’s a temporary hold. So that could help networking too. But I bet odds are still in favor of 330 over 350 in SLC.

not all of them, just figured 10 or so might get parked after summer 2024, which probably represents the block hours flown by SEA.

but if demand is there we all know they are not going anywhere

I don’t even know if SEA has that many block hours. Lot of the ER for SEA is transcons (which are already phased out mostly), NBA/NHL, and deadheads to fly in another bases system and/or former closed ER base from Covid.

They also said in LAX TH that we will start replacing their flying that they do have left down the road. Assuming routes like CUN stay since 739 had fuel stop issues.

I missed the LAX meeting so was out of that loop, but I'll belive any of it when I see it. LAX 220 comes to mind. Slow deliveries hurting expansion plans.

On the schedule. Not that this has anything to do with SLC. More so the growth of 350 in LAX.

739 still does SEA - CUN and I've never had a fuel stop issue with it. CUN could be more a seasonal item with putting some more seats on it than aircraft capability.

Seems like it’s been on 757 for a while now. Maybe not… Sometime last year it was doing fuel stops in SLC to make it. There were people who had to do customs in SLC since SEA customs would be closed, crews times out in SLC. It was a bit of a mess listening to those stories.

I actually assumed the plan was to give CUN to the neo out of Seattle. But time will tell.
