The new PWA makes “latest AE” a new thing where running a big AE takes a long timeline, but then latest AE award counts so we could have a bunch of NB-B bid WBB, company plans accordingly… then those pilots bid NBA on the next award and the company is left without pilots for WBB slots; requiring another AE, generating churn, etc.

Interested to see it, and it must happen by July for the hiring plan to be able to work in any method of AE.
At least the company is doing a nice job at keeping us informed… potentially a couple weeks away from the first AE in half a year (record time frame) and it’s all crickets. Maybe they are just smarter than our little pilots brains and know something we don’t

What do you want them to say other than what they have already at the base visits? Sometime mid to late June.

C) None of the above

Late June AE, July
JUNE 16TH per the Seattle base visit today

Trimming or full closure of the SEA ER base. How long they want the conversions to be and training capacity will be the deciding factor. Also mentioned opening SLC330 (despite the hot new SLC350 rumor told to me by a 330 LCA) to absorb SEA330 spots so they have room for some of the displacements.

I'm assuming if they do in fact close SEA ER, those airframes go to another base and "grow" the category there in the mean time?

Maybe some growth in ATL or NYC, but I’d wager with the NEOs coming we may start parking 757s after this summer and thus need fewer ER pilots all around.
