I don't remember exact numbers but large, infrequent AEs reduce training events per retirement by a statistically significant amount

That might have been true in the past, but now with so many open spots, people probably freak out and sport bid far more than they used to. People are probably far more reticent to try out different bases as well.

Company would be better off going to every other month bids to let the water seek its own level. Folks might be more apt to swap around bases if they didn't think they might get stuck there.

Pay wise the discrepancy is small for me and I’m not a “gotta be the captain” kind of guy. I say this as I sit here taxiing in on a domestic rrt deadhead. The irony 😂

I personally don’t care how or why people bid, I’m just telling you guys do it. People think NB A Pay is gonna entice people back to the soul crushing side of this…. Nah.
Hey I don’t blame you one bit. I commute from a DL base for 5 day 1 leg trips going to Hawaii and Europe rather than drive to work for the crap I can hold on 737/320…even as a top 30% senior FO.

So really I can understand guys who will downgrade. I just wonder if some talk the talk then end up not doing it lol

Yeah very fair, seems like these types of convos naturally always come up right around the time an AE is approaching

4 months between AE’s is not “more frequent”… Yet. We’ve historically had 4-5 annually.

Given the first training for the June AE will be September, maybe it’s not as ‘bad’ as it seems?

More frequent is a relative term. Just depends on the sample size. Lol

Yes. You will have to input your bids on icrew.
