Been flying with a number of FOs many who are still in their first year, some still on probation too who are casually throwing around how they’re considering “taking an upgrade” in a non-NYC base on the next AE.
With the QOL enhancements from the new PWA and seat locks about to evaporate off countless UNA peeps, is the junior A award gonna touch people hired after 1/2022? What you say people of airlinepilotcentral?

Either way, I suspect some folks will be shocked at what they do get, and others will be shocked at what they don’t. This is an AE bid people should plan to enter in iCrew fully sober.

I expect movement of mid to upper seniority Boeing A's to bid over to 320 A for the pay. I expect quite a few NB A's to jump over to WB B. Lastly, I also believe we will see 2022 hires taking junior A outside NYC. There's going to be very junior guys hoping to upgrade optimisically hoping 18hr LC makes reserve go senior upping their chances of holding a line more junior and there's going to by FO's now with decent schedule control that don't wanna risk being the plug with how bad NB scheudles have been. I will be surprised if a 2022 hire doesn't get ATL 7ERA. I haven't been here long at all and I am shocked at the amount of guys to me that don't understand the concept of backfills.

In my opinion seat locks from UNA weren’t as big of a factor as many think. The initial bid off UNA had zero seat lock the subsequent AE many did normal requal which only has 1 year lock due to shorter footprint. Most had less than 6 months left on seat lock by the time they actually trained. Many then took upgrades to equipment they were flying which was a short footprint with only 1 year lock again by the time they trained for upgrade likely only have 6 months left on those locks anyways. I think that premium pay will dry up and training will slow down causing upgrades to go more senior.
