On the same aircraft? You can bid a base change every AE if you want. What will get you though is you have little control over when you actually convert to the new base. At least now the standard AE conversion windows are 150 days instead of 210. In a normal year there will be at least 4 AE's, and usually more. This year is playing out in an odd manor with this massive gap between AE's even in the midst of breakneck hiring. They're sort of choked up in the training pipeline and trying to work that out, but this delay could cause even more issues if they get behind in staffing categories or need huge AE's to catch back up.

No. Everything is tied to the AE process. I know at some other airlines pilots can "sport bid" between bases, say jump to DTW for the summer and ATL for the winter, or something like that. That is extremely difficult to pull off here. Basically 99% of people change bases on the same plane for an easier commute and once they get that just sit put, or sometimes to chase much better seniority until their seniority in their preferred base gets to where they want it to be. I know of no one who sport bids here. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I've not heard of it.

I have a pair of stark white New Balances. I bought them years ago for tennis. I pretty much only wear them on the tennis court. They eventually got too slick for the courts so they got demoted to handyman duty. One day I was wearing them in the house and my 19yo daughter complimented me on how up on the style I was. So all those dudes we've been bashing for years are now tres cool.

So if the 717 fleet is going to 88 tails again, in rather short order, how junior will A go there? Must be close to NH when all said and done.
