With our projected bookings I think we’ll be fine. I bet ya this is going to be one of those scenarios where June hits and they decided to go ahead with an AE. I don’t see us furloughing. I see us slowing down but at a steady pace to allow retirements do the job for us.

The music is about to stop. Let's just hope the airlines didn't hire to furlough again.
oh Christ, here we go again.

FYI earnings today revealed the exact opposite of this. We are posting record breaking days with forward bookings. But hey let’s extrapolate SVP collapse onto the global economy and your jobs!!!

Yes! There is no way it’ll be august. I’d be surprised if it’s as late as July. This thing will come out in June. End of story. We are going to be out of new hire positions if we wait until august

That's exactly the point. If they really do wait until august, that means they are going to have to stop or greatly slow hiring. Hence my comment about the music stopping/door slamming shut. Seen it plenty of times over my career, unfortunately. Excuse me for being jaded, but that's been my whole career.

I guess we'll find out in a month or two. But if there's no AE by July, better batten down the hatches.

Well then Thank God I used my retro check to pay off all my expenses! Never know. That’s why you never ever go out and blow your money on something you don’t really need. I know a guy who bought a mansion basically right before COVID thinking nothing can stop him and then out of no where he was UNA. Im still banking on a June AE and all will be well. Let’s hope!

Velvet rumor to prep for furloughs on morning of one of brightest outlooks we’ve had in bookings, maybe ever.

gotta love this place

sorry for being an ass, but some people really need to stop throwing around the F word anytime they read a bad news headline. It’s like economists predicting a recession. One day it happens and they said told you so, after saying it’s going to happen ever year for years now.

Ah yes, the old Neil Boortz "poor people made bad life choices" argument. That's all you're got? Really?

Not all of us got a 5-6 figure retro not retro check. Many of us are still recovering from a huge pay cut to come here.

And worrying about the next economic crash and doubting our airline is prepared for it doesn't mean I'm stupid with money.

How big of a crash are you planning for here? The next Great Recession?
