Of course not. They’re saying record bookings, pilots might not be in the most correct positions but they won’t be in training during the highest demand. Gonna be fun this summer…

if that’s true than they have pushed the AE back from April-August. Tough to be stuck somewhere you don’t want to be

Maybe they are waiting to see if age 67 happens? They may have a better pulse on when or if this may happen.

So they are just going to pause training? They are still having classes and people are still going to recurrent/CQ. How do they not have training in the summer?

I believe he is referring to the flail when you add a sizable AE. Chill winston

I just had a sim IP on the jumpseat. Yes, in essence they are going to “pause” training over the summer. It won’t stop but will be minimal and they are looking to have as many SLIs as possible flying the line.

I see how that was confusing for you. Perhaps, I should have clarified. Of course CQ will still need to be done.

The training pause I was referring to while referencing the delayed AE is the training that is associated with an AE. IQ, or initial qualification training if you so prefer.

No AE until August now? Amid stories of banks failing, global economic slowdown, and another retirement age raise looming? Sounds like 2008 all over again.

The music is about to stop. Let's just hope the airlines didn't hire to furlough again.
