Of course not. They’re saying record bookings, pilots might not be in the most correct positions but they won’t be in training during the highest demand. Gonna be fun this summer…

So they are just going to pause training? They are still having classes and people are still going to recurrent/CQ. How do they not have training in the summer?

I just had a sim IP on the jumpseat. Yes, in essence they are going to “pause” training over the summer. It won’t stop but will be minimal and they are looking to have as many SLIs as possible flying the line.

The training pause I was referring to while referencing the delayed AE is the training that is associated with an AE. IQ, or initial qualification training if you so prefer.
