Prepare yourselves… 2023 AEs

Take everything BS days with a grain of salt. Lots of what he says either changes big time or doesn't happen at all. I think he means well, but he's just at the end of a long whip and seems like he's constantly reacting to changes thrown his way. I certainly don't envy that position.

I think the sign above his door says “Over promise and under deliver.” He smacks it every time he walks thru the door.

Are we going to have less AE’s this year or just less AE’s that are bigger? January to June is longest we have waited since post Covid. Thoughts…

Every time they say they're going for smaller, more frequent AEs expect a long wait and a monster bid. It seems to go that way without fail.

It's amazing how much they thread has progressed. The movement we've experienced would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. The mighty 7ERA wall not only fell, but crumbled into nonexistence.
There is only one wall left at the Widget, and it's the Big One. When will 350/330/765A fall to the next generation of Delta pilots. It's coming..... PREPARE YOURSELVES

Well I am an early 2000 hire and guys in my new hire class got 765A on the last bid, or possibly 2 bids ago, but recently. They will be bottom feeders for quite a while especially with the pay banding. The good news is all the trips are similar so we are just talking about scheduling clout and flexibility mainly.
It took me 17 years to hold 737A and within 6 months went to a 3 year guy. I predict a similar "collapse" on the WB A. If you think about it - it makes sense. Not much hiring between 2001 and 2014 so about a year after 2001 hires can hold something it will generally be available/close to a 2014 hire.
OBTW - No one can ever accuse you of not telling us to be prepared.

if age 67 doesn’t happen with another 1000 roughly out the door the next 2 years and decent 350/330 growth, that will fuel the fire even more.
765 might stay senior with pay banding and some older guys refusal to fly an airbus. But we will see

“Fewer cars, less gasoline”, for example.
And as for AEs, I think they’ll be enbiggened compared to last year.
