The no hot mic is really not that big of a deal for how quiet that cockpit is, that was my point. My first sarcastic response seemed to rub some feathers in this thread, lol

Loved my time on the ER. Widest variety of flying in the fleet and great performance. I preferred one leg per day and was able to get that on trips to Europe/Africa or to the west coast. Ergonomically, it lags my current jet (320) by a lot but that really comes down to personal preferences. YMMV

It's not a big deal FOR YOU, and that's cool. I've also been told the 319's and old 320's "aren't that bad" while the CA's new Apple Watch Pro was blinking yellow telling us we're being exposed to louder than normal sound levels. Some guys don't mind doing FL turns on the ER, others wouldn't be caught dead. Some wouldn't touch the 717 based solely on how bad the seats are. Creature comforts and enjoying the plane I'm gonna be in all day matter to me.

I don’t really know how else to help other than to say none of us are losing hearing, nobody is shouting in an ER cockpit, and Apple Watch is not saying we are unhealthy. If you don’t believe us, that is fine. I’d just say don’t bid it then and problem solved.

Has anybody tried noise cancelling earbuds with a talk thru feature? Galaxy Buds, Airpods, etc? It seems like an improvement on plain old earplugs.

many of the 757 cockpits trip my sound alarm. They aren’t as quiet as people like to pretend.
