Thats only in the last few years. When I was on it in 2016 it was about 50/50 of the jets that had it.

They do with a rubber band just like the 737 used to be.

I'm bidding an aircraft based on a number of factors and I like to make an educated decision, so yes.

People have been avoiding Boeings for decades because they have a yoke instead of a stick. You're surprised at this?

I have a preexisting hearing loss. I can't hear **** in flight without my noise cancelling headphones on. If I take them off, I have to turn up the volume so loud to hear ATC over the wind noise that the speakers distort and I can't understand what they're saying anyways. I always brief my crew on this. They're obviously free to take theirs off and we can have one-off shouted statements, but if they want to have a convo, it has to be with headsets on. I was even ready to resign from Delta if I had been assigned the 7ER in indoc. I'm not willing to be frustrated daily and slowly lose what's left of my hearing just to fly what, by all accounts, is a great plane

I heard that due to expected fleet longevity they’re swapping the comm panels from the Airbus to the ERs. Over the long run that will end up with more deaf pilots.

First few 763s probably have to go around 2025 no? The oldest are probably 1990/91 builds. Of course the 2000-02 ones were sold…

??? Pretty sure if you're gonna spend 8 hours a day somewhere comfort and ergonomics are an important factor. Hot mic absolutely makes a difference.
