I know the PA/NJ and Upstate NY guys love EWR, but I really wish it was either it's own base or Delta was responsible for getting you from JFK/LGA to there.

I despise EWR trips. I usually end up driving to them because it's faster from VA than leaving on an early enough United flight to EWR, then sitting around for hours because my backup flight has to go to JFK or LGA, and I have to get from there to EWR.

NYC? Mecca 320 and 73 both seats haven't been staffed post COVID

Heck the 11:54am flight to MEX is still uncovered even at $660+/hr

Can they? If captains went anymore junior there would be street hires.

They need to do a lot of things, all that have been covered here ad nauseum, to entice more senior FOs to upgrade and they still need to keep hiring as many pilots as they can get in the door.

I was thinking maybe something more monetarily related, like COLA.

Not sure how or what percentage of the NYC base commutes, but I would wager to guess around 70%

Perhaps offering a COLA would help get more people to live there in base??
