Truth. RA was willing to pay for a reliable operation above all else! Our current leadership thinks that’s too expensive and would rather save money and roll the dice on coverage. I wouldn’t have said this a year ago, but they’ve had plenty of time to staff us up properly, and haven’t done it right in certain areas.

it’s wild they’re hiring 200 a month and churning them through training for 2 years now and certain categories are still running insanely hot. I guess the VEOP and the MOAD really left their mark for years to come.

No. They are just out pacing staffing with chasing revenue.

More like they're adding flights faster than they can staff them. I feel a song is coming on...

"Tale as old as tiiiime
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly"

I was trying to allude to that. Just wild how fast it became “we need to do this new flying to make money” as opposed to “we have 6000 more pilots than we need for the flying we have to do”

Yes, crazy times
they are forecasting hot summer, but then possibly low fall/winter with economic downturn.

Yep, the recession has been 6 months away for the last two years.

I only hope that there actually is a little bit of a slow down. I have forgotten what adequate reserve coverage looks like.

Explain why they can't keep NYC staffed.
