I couldn't find anything about it but I would think it did come with steam gauges. To my knowledge, FedEx had to self install their new avionics package in the new -300Fs they ordered because Boeing would not do it for them. I am pretty sure IND operated either the new avionics and MEM the classics or vice versa. Long story, I don't think they offered any updated avionics in the 767-300.

The Rockwell Collins LCD displays have been standard install from Boeing for 5ish years now. You’re correct that before that, it was an STC done immediately after delivery.

The 747 just ended production as well (not another one of my “excuses”) because there is no market for 4 engine airplanes. Just two engine airplanes. Which doesn’t make sense to keep producing due to the exorbitant costs associated when they already have the 787.
I'd bet a lot of cash that if Boeing offered the 767 with an updated engine and a drag reduction program (like the 737) it would have sold like hotcakes. But Boeing developed the 787 and purposely stopped the 767 pax version - to force airlines to pick the 787. Cargo companies said screw that, we'll keep doing freighter conversions on the existing 767 fleet for decades. Boeing then decided it was worth it to keep the line open make a factory 767 freighter. I doubt the passenger 767 has much differences in the factory build. Yes, windows but all the engineering for that has been done.

And trust me, I’m not making excuses for Boeing. Boeing sucks.
I'm waiting until Boeing Inc spins off BCA just like they did with the Wichita plant and focus on military and space. I can't think of one of their commercial airplane program in the last 3 years that has actually been on budget and/or schedule.

I agree with you but has anyone in last 3 years? I doubt Airbus has, but maybe I’m wrong. 5-10Y comparison probably more fair

My recollection was all 767 production stopped but when the KC-46 was put into production they decided to allow freighter orders alongside it.

I am not sure, but Wikipedia shows delivered as a continual stream, with the lowest numbers of deliveries in 2014 (6), but 49 orders the next year. Interestingly, Delta was/is the second biggest operator of them (117) after Fedex. (article is a bit old)

I may have missed it but is there a date for when the AE golden days start? I saw that starting on the next AE you will have the one time withdrawal but I don’t recall seeing anything regard the 6 golden days for training.

It's in the implementation MOU, they start NLT than 1/1/24.

Thanks! I wonder if the 150 day AE window will mean classes will start sooner than they usually do. Over the last couple of years you can expect to start IQ usually 3-4 months into the conversion window. Now i bet they’ll start sooner like the month after the results are posted. Might be easier to plan if you have a vacation or event planned!

I'm sure I've missed it, have there been any rumblings about when the first post-contract-signing AE will be?
