You have mentioned the satisfaction you get out of being debt-free; $1.5M sure buys down a lot of debt and/or gets your family work-optional much more rapidly than without that boost. It could also buy a franchise, a small business or two, investment properties, etc. - diversifying income streams nicely.
The great thing about this job is we have options. Right now in my life, with little kids at home, maximizing my time at home is more important than maximizing my paycheck. Bidding reserve WB B, I'm working around 4-5 days per month. I could make more money as a NB A, but I'd work 2-3 times more.

ATL 330. Reserve at less than 50% seniority: usually one 3-4 day trip a month. Awesome QOL if you have a family. If you're about the $$ , or single bid NB A

Yep...I have 3 year old twins and a 2 year old. You can't put a price tag on time I get to spend at home.

I just did my taxes and I made less as a 220A than I was making as a 350B. I'm away from home about 3 more days a month too. Winning!

Never underestimate Delta’s willingness to buy cheap planes.
Rumor was that UAL was going to park their 767-400's right up until that PW 777 blew it's engine to parts over DEN and they had to park those engined 777's for comprehensive inspections.

Previous UAL CEO did state once a few years back (pre pandemic) when asked if he'd sell the 767-400's to Delta that he'd rather see them recycled as beer cans than to sell them to Delta, so there is that as well.

You just be super senior. I just finished a reserve month and few 1 4 days trip, 1 6 day and 2 short calls.

The 330A is still quite senior in NYC for example, I was an Airbus guy and would have loved to go to the 330, still not even close to the plug in NY in my 27th year. The ER isn’t so bad and the 767-400 a good option, having flown it as an FO.

Maybe as more 330s come online…
