Thank you that is a big one I missed, however looking at my last 3 months of trips, that would have paid me 3.5 hours. That's about a 1% pay bump. Not bad, but not going to move the needle on QOL.
All these improvements combined will improve a few outlier trips, but the vast majority of pilots won't notice much of a difference.
I hope I'm wrong, but I predict the optimizer easily targeting 10hr FDP's, 3hr sits, and 10,12,10 hr overnights.

As far as the optimizer that remains to be seen.
The company can run everything the same and just pay a lot more money or go the opposite way and minimize cost. My guess is somewhere in the middle (probably dependent on category manning and time of
year).

If opening a FL base is an attempt to satisfy commuters, I highly doubt DL will put the base in South Florida. We just don’t have that many commuters in that part of the state.

According to ALPAs pilot commuting data, we only have about 200 pilots who commute out of South Florida to bases north. But there are close to 600 commuters out of Central Florida area and another 300+ up on the pan handle.
If opening a FL base is an attempt to satisfy commuters, I highly doubt DL will put the base in South Florida. We just don’t have that many commuters in that part of the state.
