I think someone with only 2 years on property has been awarded it. Might not have converted yet

Take this FWIW. You’ve probably been around long enough to know this already, so apologies if this seems obvious, but it’s worth saying for anyone who might be lurking or making a decision based of the answer of the current snapshot in time.
Captain Upgrade timing is at historic speeds. It may not stay this fast. Bidding behavior is shifting due to rapid hiring, horrible bid packages due to “the optimizer”, and a few other factors. The new contract may play a role, TBD. I highly doubt we will go back to the 15-year Captain upgrades of old, but don’t be surprised if things settle out closer to 5+ year upgrades when ‘bidding amplitudes’ settle down to a sustainable level. Even in NY, which will always be our junior base. Who knows?
Best of luck.
