Uber to Avenida Alvaro Obregón in Roma Norte or around the Hippodrome in Condesa. Feast on coffee(Buña, Quentin, Blending Station), tacos (tacquería Alvaro Obregón, Hola guisado, Orinooco), mezcal (clandestina, palenquito), and the numerous breweries/beer bars around there(lager bar, Drunkendog, Moreno, Paracaidista etc). Tons of trendy cocktail bars as well.
Most of the big museums are free and excellent.
Skip the place across from the hotel, not because it's bad, but because it's across from the hotel. This city is made for exploring. Most of Polanco is very exepensive. El Fenix for cochinita pibil and El Bajío for breakfast aside, I skip Polanco. If $100 taco lunches are your thing, then yes, go to Pujol.

1. Use the OFFPATH DESCENT tool and use ALMIS at 210/14000 as an aiming point on the STARs.
2. There are speed restrictions hidden on the STAR charts (lower left corner). AM too.
3. Me: Last minute sidesteps = unable.
4. FMS DES Page: 2L: SEL SPD .80/290, 3L: SPD TRANS 240/18000, 4L: SPD RESTR 200/10500. Do something similar for departure.
5. If faster than 190 before MX901, configure before MX901. If at or slower than 190 at MX901, configure at MX901.
6. On departure, do not accept 5R. Big time delays due to arrival separation. They’re not doing you a favor.
7. use the route guide.
The layover is fantastic. The drive is long but the hotel is nice. I really like the locals.
Hope this helps.

That usually takes a couple weeks. The most agonizing part of the AE process, no doubt. You got an award, you’re excited to move up to this new chapter of your career, and want to start making future plans, preparing for training, etc. And then you have to wait weeks, just for a 2 month window of when you MIGHT go to training. Sucks.

This! In my experience, the initial projection is just crap thrown against the wall. My initial projection on a 1-year bid was October and I trained in March. However, the road from October to March was through 4 other months. I certainly wouldn't be putting money down on any vacations based on their crappy projections. Here's hoping the TA will help solve their inability to plan.

Taco Chronicle's on Netflix. Find several to go try. Since you haven't been, eat a bunch of Pepto Bismol before/the next week after your trip.
