787 is hot garbage

Yes but the price of FO's goes up from yr1 to yr 8 pay.

Heard we are opening an RDU base this fall!!

But seriously, how is it we have FA bases all over the place, but only 7 pilot bases? If it can be done for the FAs it can be done for the pilots. Just make CPOs and ALPA LECs regional and let’s move forward. The days of moving to domicile are going the way of the dinosaurs.

My bad. Never ever say never ever. Miami will happen. The rumor starts here! We force crew resource’s hands today! Viva La Florida.

The biggest difference is that the FAs are trained to fly on every aircraft, thus their bases are not subject to the whims of marketing changing which fleets service a city every other week.

I’m debating on a short stint in the left seat then back to the right seat…what training does that require? I’ve looked in the FOM and fleet page…I can’t find an answer.

The FA workgroup is twice the size of the pilot group and can work any flight. Pilots are limited to equipment. BOS FAs work flights on 5 different airplanes. It is a case of numbers and efficiency.

I get that. You’d have lots of small categories for pilots. Network would have to establish some kind of consistency. Stop laughing! I wonder about the number of pilots required overall with more bases. Increased pilot requirements? About the same?
