Correct. April 19, 2023 there will be thousands who are free from their shackles and can bid again. I think the bid that frees those guys up will be the one where you’ll see a touch of normalcy across the board, and a plethora of A spots awarded to new hires on the 717/737/A220.

Are you seriously complaining about not being a WB captain after 15 years? You were around 40 when you were hired. Perhaps you should have been hired sooner. Or, be happy you have a great job for a great company, with great coworkers and compensation only rivaled by a couple of airlines world wide.

Timing? Categories in focus?

A32Ns and B739s coming online with reactivations of 7ER and 717; the pilots need to come from somewhere. But where?

ER seems to be about tapped out on bidders, As are almost new hires and there are enough Bs left over for new hires the rest of the year.

oh yeah those A350s and A339s are coming too…
Each AE resets the positions available so those slots would have to be rebid.

I took a guess at your time here. 7 years at Delta after 8 in an RJ has to be pretty close, right? Maybe less here at Delta, yet you’re all “woe is me” about not being able to hold WB A. You could see the seniority required and you’ve know since day 1 where you would end up. If that wasn’t going to get you to your dream position maybe you should have applied somewhere you could have a shot at being a widebody captain. Piling that complain onto your complete inability to find any positive in the TA lead to my sarcastic response about how bad it is here, because your negativity is all encompassing and exhausting.

Stop spreading rumors about a Florida base in the next AE. There’s no way. But I did hear from a higher up growth in south Florida is coming.

Nah, no worries. Like I said, they need them now and upgrading the glass/fms etc. They don't really care for them though and IMO will rid themselves of them ASAP. Last I understood was by the end of 2030 they would be gone. the phase out could begin years or months prior to that, and of course anything almost 8 years away will surely change in this business.
