It's 4 less pilots that have to layover in Port-a-let. We'll find another use for the airplane.

The PDX layover actually isnt bad at all. Nice hotel and decent places to eat around the area. Regarding the HND slot, any guesses on which other gateway we will ask for when the DOT puts it up to bid again? Theres been some chatter about possibly JFK which would seem to make sense.

The city pair makes sense. Yield will determine if it makes sense for Delta.

I'm not sure the DOT will care much about Delta's potential yield on that or any Delta route when they decide how to apportion that HND slot.

Suddenly folks forget about the routes we've added like Auckland.

Delta doesn’t like to operate routes where they don't make money. They'll reallocate somewhere else, likely Europe or South America
