Back on topic re. A350-1000….

Just spoke with someone higher up who said the company was looking at some used -1000s but it fell through so as of right now, none in the pipeline.

Problem is, the “used” -1000s are pretty nasty and they need a lot of work and Eddie Bear would rather blow those millions on stock buybacks.

It's the DC9 done right. Built like a brick house. You can cycle it forever. Reliable and simple to operate and maintain. Your grandkids will be flying it. But it doesn't have IFE so Delta network marketing will kill it eventually.

Except they are becoming increasingly more expensive to maintain. Engines and parts are harder to come by with each passing year.

Didn’t we just buy a bunch of 717s exclusively for parts?

717 will be around for several, if not many, years….
