Yes I am and what timeframe are talking about here? How many years are we going back. I live in SLC and haven’t seen 763’s doing anything except HNL. There’s no reposition from anywhere domestic to here, unless it was during Covid which all widebodies flew domestic.
even MSP and PDX I don’t know of any 763’s doing domestic routes to position. Seems you’re talking about when those airports had Intl 763 flying which would be 4+ years ago? Certainly haven’t seen any of these domestic ER routes to these airports for the last 2 years and I’m based on the west coast where I feel I’d at least see them.

as will Maui… ATL/SLC/LAX/MSP this winter is all slated ER’s. They all arrive with a sit before the next one leaves.

My hunch is they overplayed their hand. Frankly, since EB has been at the helm we’ve made a lot of bad business decisions. It’s one thing to keep a well-oiled machine running and quite another to rectify one that has faltered. Wish I could say I was confident our time at the top would continue, but I’m not seeing signs to indicate that trajectory…

This is my thoughts exactly. The company even acknowledges that the 763's have the lowest NPS in the fleet. They should have at least given them the same refurb as the 764s got in order to keep a consistent product.

I tend to agree. The rumor continues to be that the hang up is actually with RR and not Airbus. But it’s not like there is another engine option on the 350 AND RR is in a dire financial position so they are likely not in a position to give engines away for pennies like Delta wants.
350 with RR engines and 787 with GE engines would allow us to play both manufacturers off each other, but I think we may be too vested in AB to look elsewhere.

its either pay RR what they want or buy boeing and spool up another program. Those are the options, I don’t see a third choice. I don’t get the paralysis on the subject. This is the second time RR has reportedly torpedoed a deal. We have a few 763s floating around that have lost their ETOPS, if we don’t act soon I wonder if the rest will follow before we can replace the fleet.
