well, “a bit” usually refers to a small amount. Get your southern vernacular straight. If a meant a large portion i would’ve said “a good bit.”

Maybe you should’ve went with “a smidge”?

Regardless, it’s kind of hard to replace a WB you’re trying to position for an ocean crossing with a narrow body.

never seen an ER on any of these domestic routes except maybe CVG or RDU.

and some of the domestic hours the ER does, so does the 330. Look at transcons. So assuming the rate of intl hour usage will be that much more better is probably not true

Honest question, are you on the fleet?

I’ve flown ERs to all those places (except PDX, but I know they did it pre-COVID). For SLC and MSP, many times it was for it to continue to HNL. CVG and RDU was usually to go to CDG.

There is very little domestic on the ER right now, and what is would be difficult to replace with a NB. Much of the time that I’ve seen them do TPA or MCO turns was to get time on the jet prior to it getting ETOPS recert’d due to MX, etc.

Just one man’s observation.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see the lie flat neos doing the SFO transcons over time. I believe that’s why they bought those anyways. The JFK-LAX transcon probably will always be a heavy machine. Even right now it’s split from ER/-400/330’s
Then in future there will be some sort of domestic route on the 330 we don’t expect for positioning.
350 is doing LAX-ATL now for example.

Yes I am and what timeframe are talking about here? How many years are we going back. I live in SLC and haven’t seen 763’s doing anything except HNL. There’s no reposition from anywhere domestic to here, unless it was during Covid which all widebodies flew domestic.

even MSP and PDX I don’t know of any 763’s doing domestic routes to position. Seems you’re talking about when those airports had Intl 763 flying which would be 4+ years ago? Certainly haven’t seen any of these domestic ER routes to these airports for the last 2 years and I’m based on the west coast where I feel I’d at least see them.
